Wines of Sicily
Pinot grigio belongs to the group of “international” vines of French origin, widely cultivated all over the world. In Italy it is present with productions of absolute importance. For many years it has been one of the most "in vogue" wines of Italian production, whose commercial success was however accompanied by a notable qualitative development. Its natural color is coppery, so much so that it is defined as a “gray grape”. In most cases it is vinified in white but if the musts are left in contact with the skins even for a short period, the wine takes on the natural orange tone, giving very pleasant results, fruity, fragrant and well-structured wines.
